I am also using FTM 2014, and FTM 2012 did the same, as described below.
A death fact with a 4 digit year, say 1902, and a burial fact, with a 4 digit year of the same year, say 1902. Facts with the same date are sorted in alphabetic order, so Burial comes before Death.
Yes, if you leave the date blank for the burial, it will shuffle to the bottom of the list. Or if one uses the ? for the date, as I do, when I don't know the specific date of burial, then the Burial record will move to the end, with the word "Unknown" in the date field.
It's not a big deal, but it would be nice if the software had logic to always sort the Burial record after the Death record.
