Rather than add a name to the Task list, I would suggest to add tasks to the Person at:

Family Tab > Right Panel > Far Right Button (Tasks)

Then, click on the Edit button.

You can add more than one category. You can add custom categories. You can add a due date.

For example

Concordia trip
Need obituary

Also note that you can right click - print on a task in the Task Workspace to only print people associated with a task.

You can click on the printer icon in the Task Button bar at the Family Tab of the People Workspace.

But, you can't do either one with the regular Task List in the Publish Workspace > Person Reports. There you have to print ALL tasks for everybody in your file in one gigantic report.


Or you can add a Custom Fact

"To Do" (enter to do's in description)
"Find obituary" (enter town for newspaper)


Use the Index filter at the bottom of your index to see people who have your custom fact. Use a Custom Report to print.
