How to get rid of "unsourced citations"?

I imported a tree via GEDCOM and then downloaded it to FTM. Various comments in the original file became "unsourced citations". In FTM these show in the [Unlinked] source group as a citation labelled [no source-citation information]. I am gradually working through these as I want to keep some of these comments (but not as citations). Now I notice that I have an enormous number (about 800) of a 2nd type of citation called "Ancestry Family Trees". I have no idea why these were created, they contain absolutely nothing useful and I would just like to delete them entirely. However it seems that FTM only allows you to delete them one at a time. And after each deletion you have to spend time finding the next one to delete! There's no batch delete or click + shift click feature to select a consecutive group. Does anyone know of a faster way to do this?
