I fear that the second conclusion could be seen as offensive. It implies that to be serious about your genealogy you need to do something which is arguably not necessary, but simply a matter of personal choice. I don't have a single census, BDM certificate etc linked into my Reunion database and never did when I used FTM/FTMM. I do though have in excess of 50,000 images of various types stored away on the network.
The evidence based conclusion is simply that with larger amounts of data you risk encountering problems when using FTM/FTMM that you will probably not experience with other genealogy programs.
