Tony,

It's refreshing to actually have someone respond reasonably to my problem & complaints.

When I do a manual backup as opposed to an automatic, I have all include boxes checked. So it backups up EVERYTHING in my media directory, all of which are sourced in FTM. This is about 7000 files.

If I have a Census image for a family, I only reference (Attach new media) to the head of household & link to the rest. Is this what you mean???

I have 16Gb of RAM installed, 23% utilized when I bring FTM up. FTM.exe process starts out at 196Mb allocated & grows by 2Mb every time I just click on a tab across the top (Plan, People, Places, etc)

So don't think it's a system memory issue. I really think that during the leakage it's walking on top of it's own program space. I have had NULL pointer crashes where I've just clicked on a Fact source box so it's only selected (not double-click opening) in a PERSON view at random times.

Thanx

BTW message postings doesn't seem to like "< >"
