There are several options to build your own family history website. I learned the hard way not to go the route of loading software on my computer and creating it that way. There are a bunch of sites that let you do it all online in a very easy way. You don't need to download anything onto your computer or even pay in most cases if you are willing to have ads on your site. Wikipedia has a list if you look up "Free Webhosts".
