How to migrate FTM file to FTM for Mac?

I'm having a problem moving a FTM file created on FTM 2010, running on Windows XP, running on Parallels, over to FTM for Mac. I have no problem making a FTM file (like a backup) but when I open FTM for Mac and attempt to import, FTM for Mac cannot "see" the file. The file is there but is grayed out?!
