They promised me a reply last Friday but nothing received.
I don't want a refund, I just want it to work so I can pass my PC on to one of my kids and concentrate on building my tree on the Mac.
It's a brand new 11" MacBook Air with the 2GHz i7 and 8 GB ram upgrades. No other upgrades are possible due to the construction of the MBA. I'll be adding a Thunderbolt Display later today which will enable me to connect via Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi. I have no anti-virus and the firewall is off. Internet access is via a 2TB Time Capsule and a Draytek Vigor120 modem. This should be more than enough to run ftm.
I can't believe that there's anything wrong with the handshaking/transfer protocol because it syncs changes on ancestry perfectly to ftm. But changes in ftm don't sync, one symptom is that the 'sync change log' window does not appear during an ftm to ancestry sync. It has to be a software problem.
I'm restricted to doing all my research on ancestry and only using ftm when I want produce a report which is not how it's supposed to be.
