Oi, I am also having this issue. Not only can I not update FTM to the latest release without it crashing, but NUMEROUS people have been duplicated. I tried the merge with duplicates feature I saw on Ancestry yesterday but that doesn't work very well. By that, I select the person I want to use as the primary, select the other duplicate and based on the end result, it did the opposite of what I wanted. My duplicates lost all of the media attached to them. So therefore, the people chosen to be the primary (not my choice) do not have the media associated anymore. This is beyond frustrating.

I wish I had thought to backup before syncing...this would be an easier fix.
