I'm going guess the only way you can transfer a file from the FH program is to by creating a GED and uploading it to a new gene program of your choice.

There are several Mac native genealogy applications. What are your goals? Only you know what your needs are.

Most programs, including FTMM have a 30 day money-back trial. Kick the tires of a few, (Reunion, FTMM, MacFamily Tree, to name a few. Read more about these programs on the respective boards) and see which one works best for you.

It helps to have a small file to test and work on before taking the grand plunge.
