I'm very new to all this (genealogy, FTMMv2 and using a Mac). As if to prove my inexperience I've just bought a copy of FTMMv2 (from Ancestry at twice the price I could have got it from Currys) and then read all the negative comments about this software. So, before I open the pack (as I might want to return it) can anyone tell me what the current situation is in terms of the various fixes and patches that have been issued and whether FTMMv2 is the same or different to FTMM2 that the issues I have read relate to?
So to summarise:
1. Should I open the box and cross my fingers that it will work?
2. Should I send the software back and wait for v3?
3. Should I send it back and go for an alternative software option (if so what would you recommend)
Also, again before I open the box (if indeed I do!), will I find a CD to upload the software or a code to download it? I need to know this as I have a MacBook Pro which doesn't have a CD player.
My apologies if the above questions have appeared in earlier threads.
