I am trying to clean up the sources in my tree. I don't know if it is a result of merging files (I used to have different trees for different lines) or linking and unlinking with Ancestry trees but some sources are completely wrong for the facts. For example, I had a census image for one person linked to an entirely different person's census source. I was/am looking for a quick way to trash all the sources I can relatively easily redo without getting rid of the off line sources. At this point, I'd say a good 60-75% of my source citations are somehow "Ancestry" sources- censuses, city directories, military, etc. That still leaves an awful lot of complete re- data entry if I start my file from scratch (current method).
A secondary question is- can you copy and paste a source from one family file to another family file?
