I have been using Family Tree, sold as a bundle called Family Tree Genealogy Suite in Australia by GSP Software (now sold by Avanquest)and love the fact I can edit a descending tree rather than the usual ascendents format. It is very quick and simple to use but is weak in terms of sourcing. You can connect source files but it doesn't give you any timelines by person such as in ancestry or RootsMagic. But alas after 3 years and 3000 ancestors I have outgrown it.

I upgraded to RM3 only to find that this does not allow editing of descending trees, it will only create an editable report which is not what I what as they are only cosmetic changes for the purposes of the report. I liked RM's other features but I do nearly all my work in descendents mode.

Is there any software out there that allows me to edit a descending tree that has good tracking of sources?
