I have started a online family tree with ancestry.com and I am in the process of expanding that family tree online. My deceased grandfather was a very resourceful intelligent man and before he passed away he compiled a more detailed family tree from census information. I have a copy of that family tree on a floppy disk and it is that that I am tentatively trying to access. I have not gone back many generations in the tree I have compiled though I believe that he did before he passed away. I assume that GEDCOM is a file format. I want to ask a very basic question at this point, what is the name of the downloadable software from CNET that you have used?
