Thank you! I have the linking parent down. When I created a descendant chart the lines followed the biology of the child which is exactly what I wanted! The unknown parent did not show up which is perfect too.
But, the father remarried and the wife has a biological child. That child did not show up on the chart. He is not a direct descendant. Is this why? Is there a way to force it?
Can this be adjusted for individuals? For example, my great uncle raised a child of his wife's as his own from the time the child was an infant. I don't want to keep that child from appearing in the chart. This is the one exception I can think of. (See the example below where Sarah Singer has a child that is not George Jones and is not in the report.)
And last, in the descendant report can the word 'unknown' be avoided all together?
1. Jane Jones
2. George Jones (yes, child has her maiden name)
+ Sarah Singer
3. Mike Jones
Thank you, Kim
