My husband complained about the computer acting squirrely on Friday morning so I ran a defrag - and Roots Magic's drop and drag is working as advertised. I've created the new database three times selecting 'everyone in the tree', just the ancestors, and ancestors + their children options - each has worked fine, each deleted with no problems. Clean as a whistle and twice as slick.
Its been a month since the last defrag was run which doesn't seem long enough to create a problem with our usage pattern but I'm chalking this one up as yet another quirk of being "upgraded" to Vista. (ugh) Defrag is now scheduled weekly.
