The certificate of a stillborn child is kept in a separate area from birth and death certificates.
The states capital keeps a record of all births/deaths/stillbirths. Write down everything that you
do know, and approximate date of birth then contact the department of the state that holds all
these records. Each state labels their department different, such as ours is labeled Health
Department Make sure you are telling them that the baby was stillborn.
I am not familiar with Army base births, but all records eventually go to the state capital for safe keeping. If you know the city/county the baby was stillborn in, contact them first and perhaps they can tell you where to look if it has been sent to archive. Stillborn is the key word to use.
