Lemuel E Brooks of the 2nd MI was a survivor of the Sultana disaster. He returned to Michigan.Lemuel was b 15 Dec 1840 in Independence Cuyahoga Ohio. He married Ruby Cornelia Putnam on 7 Oct 1866 in Kent MI. He died 5 Apr 1927 in MI and is buried in White Swan Cem Oakfield Kent Co MI.
