Glad you figured out which project was your issue. Hope you don't give up on the Kansas census. We need lots more keyers on this project. The image quality and the handwriting certainly vary in this project, so as you point out it isn't always Easy - as in very little effort beyond keying required. But it should get easier as you (and everyone else) become more familiar with the handwriting and manipulating the images to make them clearer.

Do check out the WIKI for this project for suggestions and keying samples. One of the biggest problems I see in reviewing is correctly identifying the Title page. An amazing number of image sets misidentify the Affidafit as the title page and miss the page with the BIG BOX that is the title page!

And yes, figuring out the "o"s from the "a"s is a challenge too!
