Chalmers - Keying Index and Multiple Given Names

A couple of questions whose answers I could not find in Field Help or on one of the messages in the boards. If anybody can help:

1. I've run across two biographies where the subject has two or more given names (i.e., Norman Michael). How are multiple given names keyed?

2. I have an Index page before me which lists many names and the page number where the biography is given. Therer are no bios on the Index page itself. Do I key all of the names listed on the Index? Or do I select Continued from previous image?

Many thanks!

Well, I think I can answer my own question for a change! This is in regarding to keeying an Index page. Suppose you open an Index set for keying, and on the set-up page, you selected "Biography Pages" with information to key. And then on the data entry page, you see this huge list of names on an Index Page. And you say to yourself, "OMG, do I have to enter ALL of these names? OMG" Which is what I did. Well, I am here to tell you that you can actually change the Image Type, using one of the five tabs at the top of the keying screen. Look for the tab marked "Set Form Type." On my computer screen, this is the second tab from the left. When you select this tab, you will be returned to the set-up screen where you can select "Index Page," which replaces your erroneously marked "Biography Pages." When you do this, you'll get a message saying there is no data to enter from an Index page and you'll be able to move forward. Hallelujah!

Can you attach a screen shot of the multiple given names?

Actually, re-reading your question...

If it's just Norman Michael... then just type Norman Michael into the field. No commas necessary.
