I have a gentleman from Mexico whose name is listed as Gabriel Tolento C. Further down the obituary it includes his brothers' names (Jesus Tolento and Salvador - one with surname, one without). The parents are also listed, but again with only given names. Do I key him as:
Given: Gabriel
Surname: Tolento C
or
Given: Gabriel Tolento
Surname: C
or
Given: Gabriel C
Surname: Tolento
I was leaning toward the first one, but began second guessing myself when I saw that it listed one of his brothers with a surname of Tolento. Also, his sisters have surnames that include the word 'de' (deJesus) and if I remember correctly there is something about the 'de' portion of the surname that is geographically or ethnically relevant. Do we key that portion of the name? So would the surname be:
deJesus
or
Jesus
(Sorry, couldn't find anywhere that it specifically states anything about the 'de' portion)
