If the residence of the convict says "transient" leave it blank. Anna said we are only keying names of places in that field, so if it says "transient" or "none", we should leave it blank. If the residence says something like "Tulsa, Okla" key "Tulsa, Okla" with the comma. Do not key "Tulsa, Oklahoma" because that would not be what you see on the record. Don't forget to include the comma between the city and state. Same with any other city and/or state in the birthplace or residence fields. Also, in some of the older records, you may see the birthplace or residence is "I T". You would key here "I T". It stands for "Indian Territory" which was Oklahoma. But do not key "I T" as Oklahoma.
